We are delighted to announce that the Honourable Justice Ward, Chief Judge in Equity, will launch de Groots Wills, Probate and Administration Practice (New South Wales) on Wednesday 4 October 2017 in Sydney.
In announcing Justice Ward’s appointment in March this year, NSW Attorney General, Mark Speakman noted:
‘Justice Ward’s ascension to the head of the Equity division is richly deserved, following a trail blazing legal career spanning more than three decades. At the age of 49, Julie Ward was the first female solicitor to be appointed directly to the bench of the NSW Supreme Court in 2008.’
Phillip McGowan, editor of the text and director of de Groots’ Sydney office commented: ‘We are delighted that Justice Ward has accepted our invitation to launch this important work, designed to provide accessible, relevant and practical guidance for solicitors practising in this area of the law.
de Groots Wills, Probate and Administration Practice (New South Wales) has taken four years to complete with the support of a dedicated and committed editorial board under the leadership of Pam Suttor as chair. Other members of the board are Lindsay Ellison SC, Michelle Maynard and Esterina Azzi.
